I would like to thank everyone who came out and supported this weekend’s Book Signing of my latest work, “Meeting the WORD in the World”, and Fundraiser for Farm for Christ at the Ashtabula Giant Eagle Store. Together, we exceeded our goal and raised thousands of dollars to supply Ashtabula County food pantries with locally grown beef for hamburger this spring. Special thanks to Ashtabula Current reporter Bill West for taking the time to interview me, as an author, this weekend and posting the article and complete interview video on his website:
Get inspired and help feed those in need in Ashtabula County! Stop by the Ashtabula Giant Eagle at Saybrook Plaza Saturday and Saturday, November 15 and 16, where I will be signing my new book of 120 brief meditations, ‘Meeting the WORD in the World’.
The money from each book you purchase ($20 soft cover, $25, hard cover) will go to purchase a young beef animal. That steer will be raised to maturity and processed by Farm for Christ. The hamburger will be given to Ashtabula County Food Pantries for distribution to the poor.
Our goal is to raise $1000, which will produce 500 pounds of beef. And all donations are Tax Deductible through the St. Vincent DePaul Society.
Won’t you help? Please stop by the Ashtabula Giant Eagle this weekend and enjoy a good read while helping others. Plus it makes a great Christmas Gift, so consider giving twice this weekend!
